For eight years, Mr. Campbell taught middle school science. Even now that he teaches engineering, science is still important. Science can mean different things, conjure up different images, and influence people in different ways depending on your own experiences. For Mr. Campbell, it is about exploring the world around us, making sense of how things work. That view guided his teaching. Science should not be a collection of facts and terms, but an understanding of how those facts and terms can paint a picture. A picture that can be beautiful on it's own, but through science, the beauty can be elevated even further with understanding.
